Get a Library Card
Your library card allows you to borrow items from the library. Your card also allows you to use library computers, read e-books, listen to audiobooks, learn new languages, download music and more.
High River Library is a member of Marigold Library System, The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC), and The Alberta Library (TAL) offering access to millions of items throughout the province of Alberta.
How to Get a Card
- Visit High River Library
- Show government-issued photo identification and proof of address
- Cards are free between January 1 to December 31, 2023! If you'd like to make a donation to the library in the amount of your card fee you're welcome to do so.
If you are a new resident and/or do not yet have identification, please call the library at 403-652-2917 to find out what you need to obtain a library card.
Sign Up Online! You will be asked to show identification when you come to pick up your card.

Don't live in High River? You may be able to use your local library card by signing up through ME Libraries.
