Summer 2023 is here!

We're super excited for all the fun activities this summer! The TD Summer Reading Club runs July 3 to August 26, 2023, and registration is full for ages 5-8, but we still have room for ages 9+ and Saturday activities for ages 5-12. Please note that children must be at least 5 years old by March 31, 2023 in order to participate in the summer reading club. The library has a pre-school story time and a baby rhyme time over the summer for younger children.

For each week you attend, you have four options for which days to attend:

  • Monday & Tuesday (2 days)
  • Wednesday & Thursday (2 days)
  • Monday through Thursday (4 days)
  • Saturday (1 day, duplication of Monday-Thursday - both age groups are combined)

The time for each session is as follows:

  • Weekdays for Ages 5-8 are from 10am-12pm
  • Weekdays for Ages 9-12 are from 1pm-3pm
  • Saturdays for All Ages are from 1pm-3pm

The 9-12 group will be swimming at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex on the following days:

  • Thursday, July 6
  • Thursday, July 20
  • Thursday, August 3
  • Thursday, August 17

You will be responsible for dropping off and picking up your child/children at the Rec Plex. All children at the Rec Plex are required to be in the pool; if they prefer not to swim, we will also have activities at Sheppard Family Park - please let us know at summer@highriverlibrary.ca or at (403) 652-2917

The schedule can be found at the events calendar. There are activities for ages 5-8, 9-12, and a combined ages 5-12 group, as well as a separate teen night! Once you've registered, check out our other fun programs at the events calendar and sign up for your FREE library card.
