Join us at the library for a reading by local author Jocelyn Hastie. Her novel, As Buck Would Have It, is a story of resilience and self-discovery. This cautionary tale of mature romance in a virtual world is the story of a cowboy and the women who loved him. The stories are told from the perspectives of the cowboy, his ex-wife, and his next two girlfriends.

Michelle, Linda and Jocelyn each release their fantasies of riding off into the sunset with a cowboy. They learn that connection starts with self-love and self-respect and they unbridle their own brilliance, rather than staying entwined in Buck’s version of happiness.

Jocelyn Hastie lives on a ranch in the foothills of the glorious Rocky Mountains. She discovered her love of horses and the rural lifestyle as an adult. She lost her accounting career and found her voice as a speaker and writer following recovery from advanced stage cancer. She credits her recovery to her horses and her network of friends.
