Get a Library Card

Your library card allows you to borrow items from the library for free. Your card also allows you to use library computers, read e-books, listen to audiobooks, learn new languages, download music and more.

High River Library is a member of Marigold Library System, The Regional Automation Consortium (TRAC), and The Alberta Library (TAL) offering access to millions of items throughout the province of Alberta.

How to Get a Card

  • Visit High River Library
  • Show personal identification and proof of address
  • Pay the appropriate fee

If you are a new resident and/or do not yet have identification, please call the library at 403-652-2917 to find out what you need to obtain a library card. 

Types of Cards

  • Child (0-12 years) $3
  • Teen (13-17 years) $3
  • Adult (18+ years) $15
  • Family $25
