COVID-19 Update

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, High River Library will be closed immediately until AHS recommendations support re-opening.

This is a difficult decision to make as we understand the community impact of closing the library, however the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and patrons is our priority.  We will be monitoring the situation closely and will make our facility available to the public as soon as we are safely able to do so.

During the closure:

  • Checked out materials may be returned to the outdoor drop box in front of the library.
  • You will not be charged for late returns.
  • Your holds will stay on the shelf.
  • We encourage patrons to use digital library resources during the closure.
  • We will work through any individual account problems with you when we re-open. Please do not be concerned about fines, due dates or other issues.
  • We will do our best to accommodate pre-booked exams, but will not be accepting new invigilation requests. Please phone the library at 403-652-2917 with any questions.

Use of our electronic resources as always is free with your library card and includes access to eBooks, audiobooks, local, national and international newspapers, movies, music, magazines and online courses and learning for children and adults.

Updated Library information will be posted on this website and social media channels as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
